Heart of America Wind Symphony Concert
The Heart of America Wind Symphony presents their April concert which for the
third year benefits Accessible Arts, Inc. The theme will be 'Lord of the Rings'.
Three breaks during the concert will feature wheelchair dancing by four talented
area dancers: Elysse Power, Terri Rathburn, MariaAna Garza, and Suzane Ryan.
Alvin Ailey student dancers will also perform, and an unexpected guest from
the past will make a dramatic appearance. An added attraction will be an exhibit
of art by talented local artists with disabilities. Chief's benefactor John
Tait will also be present with several of his paintings. Adults and children
with parents will enjoy the concert.
The concert will be held this year in Yardley Hall, Johnson County Community College. Tickets may be purchased for $5 (children) and $10 (adults) by calling the ticket office at the College - 913/469-4445. Payment by cash, check or credit card.

Driving Directions: Yardley Hall is in the Carlsen Center at 12345 College Blvd., the campus of Johnson County Community College, in Overland Park, Kansas. The college is just south of College Boulevard and just west of Quivira. Turn south into the campus off of College Blvd. Take the left curving drive to multi-level parking including handicap spaces.
