Wed. 7 pm - 9 pm OPENING SESSION objective: to provide enjoyable, informative orientation activities that help participants get acquainted while providing a context for subsequent sessions

to give artists and teachers a mutual understanding of their respective expectations and to explore the requirements of collaborative effort at varied levels

SESSION 2:Breaking the Code objective: to familiarize participants with the vocabulary commonly used in educator/artist collaborations

SESSION 3A: The Artist Perspective
objective:
to understand the tools an artist needs to work effectively in schools
SESSION 3B: The Educator Perspective objective: to define the tools an educator needs to work effectively with artists

SESSION 4: Curriculum Connections objective: to experience and synthesize meaningful integration through interactive, collaborative activity

SESSION 8B: Table Topic Discussions objective: To provide opportunity for discussion of topics important to participants

SESSION 9A: Funding Partnerships Roundtable objective: to discuss grant resources available at local, state, and national levels and to explore other funding opportunities
SESSION 9B: Creating Assessment Tools for Evaluation objective: to provide various assessment tools participants can use to evaluate their collaborative projects

SESSION 10: Evaluating My Experience and What Will I Do When I Go Back Home? objective: to gain information that will clarify needs of participants and inform future planning
